The collections of the Museum are of extraordinary value and they tell not only the history of life on our planet but also of the history of the scientific thought.
Throughout the last five centuries, starting from the Medicis, over 10 million specimens have been acquired covering all scientific disciplines, from botany to zoology, mineralogy, paleontology, anthropology, ethnology, anatomy and chemistry.
